Does descaling affect tooth enamel?+
As long as the descaling is done correctly by a dentist, the tooth enamel is not affected. Scaling is a dental procedure that removes the bacterial plaque from the teeth and nothing else. If the bacterial plaque stagnates for a longer period of time on the teeth, it mineralizes, becoming a hard deposit, called tartar.
Does dental x-ray affect the body?+
Dental radiography is the one that has the lowest dose of radiation among all radiological tests. Four standard dental x-rays are equivalent to a dose of 0.005 mSv, radiation similar to a plane flight, which lasts 1-2 hours.
Why do the gums bleed?+
the inflamed gums are observed by the dentist as being red with deposits of tartar above and below the gums and sometimes periodontal pockets. The main factors in the occurrence of these diseases are: poor hygiene, genetic disposition, smoking, low immunity, certain general diseases (eg diabetes).
